About the travelling classroom in Ecuador
The Travelling Classroom consists of one week Spanish course in Quito, Cuenca (or Amazon), Manta and Montañita. The journey will start in the capital Quito. You will stay in local host families in a single room with half board. The exception is Montañita, where you will have a bed in a dorm room of the student residence without meals.
The transport will take place each Sunday by public bus. The ticket will be organised by the language school and is included in the price. The taxi ride from the bus stop to the accommodation is not included in the package.
If you choose to travel to the Amazon, the flight from Quito to Guayaquil for travelling to Manta is included.
4 different schools during the travelling classroom
Your language course takes place each week at another location. All schools have a lot of experience in teaching Spanish as a foreign language. You have weekly 20 Spanish lessons in mini-groups.

In every course location there are different activities included. By joining these activities you will get to know the country even better.

Travelling Classroom including Cuenca:
Quito
- City tour
- Visit of the thermal springs of Papallacta
- Excursion to Mitad del Mundo (line of the equator)
- Trekking and biking to national park Cotopaxi
Cuenca
- City tour
- Visiting the Inca ruins of Pumapungo, Ingapirca and Cojitambo
Manta
- Paragliding
- Excursion to Montecristi (known for Panama hats)
- Excursion to Isla de la Plata (Galapagos for the poor)
Montañita
- 1 week surf course with surfing trip on the weekend

Quito
- City tour
- Visit of the thermal springs of Papallacta
- Excursion to Mitad del Mundo (line of the equator)

Amazon
- Tubing on the Rio Napo
- Trekking tour to “Bird Island”
- Visiting an indigene community
- Digging gold and fishing in traditional way
- Trekking tour to the jungle (Selva Viva Reserve) or (alternate)
- Rafting on a self built float
- Trekking tour to “Bird Island” (every week)
- Workshop to the topic shamanism
- Visiting the Amazon Animal Rescue Center
- Trekking tour to the jungle
Manta
- Paragliding
- Excursion to Montecristi (known for Panama hats)
- Excursion to Isla de la Plata (Galapagos for the poor)
Montañita
- 1 week surf course with surfing trip on the weekend
In all schools there are activities such as Salsa- and cooking classes. Additional activities like a ride on the aerial cableway in Quito or thermal springs in Cuenca can be booked at extra cost.
Comme le dernier week-end, une excursion est prévue le samedi, le retour doit être prévu le dimanche.
